1. Who we are

This website is run by Cars Pro Motors Limited ("Cars Pro Motors", "we", "us"), a used car dealer based in Dublin, Ireland. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

2. What personal data we collect

We only collect the information we need to help you buy a car and to run our business. This includes:

• Contact form messages: your name, email address, phone number and the message you send us.
• Calls, WhatsApp messages and emails: your name, phone number or email address, and what you tell us.
• When you buy, reserve or trade in a car: the details we need to complete the sale, such as your name, address, contact details, payment and deposit records, and details of any vehicle you trade in.
• If we deliver a car to you: your delivery address.

We do not use analytics or advertising tracking on this website.

3. How we use your data and our legal basis

• To answer your enquiries and arrange viewings, based on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or on steps you ask us to take before entering a contract.
• To sell, reserve, deliver or take a car in trade, because it is necessary to perform our contract with you.
• To keep business, tax and accounting records, because we are legally required to.
• To protect our business, for example handling disputes or warranty claims, based on our legitimate interests.

We will not use your details for marketing unless you have agreed to it, and you can ask us to stop at any time.

4. Car finance applications

The finance application form on our Finance page is provided by our finance partner, Vendor Finance Ireland Ltd. Information you enter in that form is sent directly to Vendor Finance Ireland, which processes your application and shares it with its panel of lenders. Vendor Finance Ireland is responsible for that data under its own privacy policy, which you can find on its website. That form may also show Vendor Finance Ireland's own cookie notice.

5. Third-party services on our website

• WhatsApp: our chat button opens WhatsApp, a service run by Meta. Messages you send us there are handled under WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy.
• Google Maps: our pages show maps from Google. Google may collect information, such as your IP address, when the map loads, under Google's privacy policy.
• Vendor Finance Ireland: see section 4.

6. Cookies

Our website itself only uses cookies that are needed for it to work, such as keeping the site secure and remembering your login if you have an account. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. The third-party services listed in section 5 may set their own cookies when you use them.

7. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We only share it when needed with:

• Our finance partner, Vendor Finance Ireland, if you ask us about finance.
• Companies that provide services to us, such as website hosting and email, under agreements that protect your data.
• Our accountants, insurers and professional advisers, where necessary.
• The Gardaí, Revenue or other authorities, where we are legally required to.

Some of these providers, such as Google and Meta, may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, they rely on safeguards approved under data protection law.

8. How long we keep your data

We keep enquiries only for as long as we need them to deal with your request. Records of car sales are kept for as long as we need them for warranty, legal and accounting purposes, including the periods required by Irish tax law. When we no longer need your data, we delete it securely.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
• Ask us to delete your data, where we no longer have a reason to keep it.
• Ask us to restrict or stop using your data in certain circumstances.
• Ask for your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
